I was invited to speak at this years Nui Te Kōrero for Creative New Zealand’s biennial arts leadership conference. Where managers and leaders, producers, practitioners, marketers and governors working in the arts and ngā toi gather for a national conversation about the big issues of the day.

This years theme – Brave New World – A new level and a new way of thinking -‘He reanga hou, he whakaaro hou

Grateful to be sharing space and knowledge alongside Dawson Marama with a focus on ‘Ai Artificial intelligence – ‘ Diving into the deep moana of the digital world. Looking at the possibilities, principles, and pathways to implement and utilise AR & Ai within your art practice or organisations’

Using Ai to complement my work & not compromise it

– Katrina iosia

My journey through both digital and physical mediums provides a unique perspective that’s incredibly valuable in these spaces. It’s crucial to bridge the gap in understanding the support for underrepresented voices, especially for Māori and Pasifika women. Our diversity of perspectives and experiences enriches these creative spaces, and it’s essential for others to recognise and appreciate the contributions beyond their own narratives. The advocacy for inclusivity and recognition is incredibly important in being the change we want to see.
