KATRINA IOSIA

Materiality of Time Exhibition

18 April – 30 May 2026

‘Materiality of Time’ is a contemporary exhibition centered on creative technological mediums as both methodology and material. Grounded in Cultural narratives, land-based research and lived experience, the works explore how time takes form across physical and digital environments. Some works stem from Iosia’s Pacific Artists Residency in Niue and partnership between Creative New Zealand and the Government of Niue. The exhibition also reflects Vili’s longstanding explorations of Matariki as a foundation of his work, identity and continuity. Sculptural installations and augmented reality function as living archives, positioning technology as vessel for preserving material culture and sustaining knowledge across generations.

Come and experience an inspiring collection of contemporary artworks celebrating creativity, culture, and connection.

As part of the exhibition programmes I wanted to include the artist talk through Techweek26.
